CHAIN DRIVEN
Live roller conveyors are gravity roller conveyors that are power driven.
There are 3 main types of live roller conveyors:

LINE SHAFT
General operation of the lineshaft driven roller conveyor is achieved through a drive shaft that runs the length of the conveyor and transmits power to the roller via a spool and drive belt. When back pressure is applied to the conveyed product, the spools driving the rollers are designed to slip on the shaft allowing the product to accumulate with minimum back pressure. Transportation, sortation, minimum back pressure and non-contact zero pressure accumulation are the main uses for lineshaft conveyors. With the drive shaft running the length of the conveyor, fewer drives are required, therefore using less energy which translates to lower utility costs.

BELT DRIVEN
BDLR (Belt Driven Live Roller)
On straight conveyors, the rollers contact a flat driving belt on the underside, creating a friction drive. On curves, a V-belt is used to power the rollers. The bed rollers used on BDLR conveyors are pop out rollers. Due to the top of  the rollers being above the side frames, BDLR conveyors are capable of handling products wider than the actual frame width. The belt is normally powered using a motor/reducer drive package.

CHAIN DRIVEN
PRECISION CDLR (Chain Driven Live Roller)
The Precision Drive is accomplished by utilizing a single roller mounted to the frame with 2-bolt flange precision bearings. Rotation is delivered via a b-hub sprocket keyed to the roller shaft. The A-plate sprockets welded to the roller tube deliver rotation to the rest of the rollers through a series of roll-to-roll chain loops. The easily removable and interchangeable single sprocket allows for close to 180 degrees of chain wrap in every configuration and an added dimension of speed flexibility. The innovative sliding drive take-up provides a maintenance friendly method of adjusting the drive chain tension.
